Sarita co-founded the DIY PhD in 2014, published her Dissertation, Textbook for the Ecocene with Co-Conspirator Press in 2020, and founded School for the Ecocene to support multi-passionate Earthworkers of all backgrounds in creating their own deeper and higher education.

She paints natural pigment story-maps in collaboration with environmental justice movements, Indigenous tribes, and other Earth-based communities to illustrate examples of habitat remediation, land back, and collective regeneration.
